Day 3 — Freedom From Fear and Anxiety

Scripture

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Reflection

Fear can rob us of peace and prevent us from moving forward. Worries about illness, finances, family difficulties and the future can become overwhelming.

Scripture reminds us that God's love strengthens us to face life's uncertainties with courage and wisdom. Faith does not mean that difficulties disappear or that we never feel afraid. It means that fear does not have to determine our decisions.

God also provides help through trusted people, professional care and supportive communities. Seeking such help can be part of responding wisely to His gifts.

Today, identify the worries that have troubled your heart. Present them to God one by one, asking for calmness, discernment and the courage to take the next right step.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I surrender my fears, worries and uncertainties to You.

Where my heart is troubled, grant me peace. Where my thoughts are overwhelmed, give me clarity. Where I feel weak, renew my courage.

Protect me from despair and help me remember that I am never beyond Your loving care.

Bless everyone struggling with anxiety, grief and emotional distress. Surround them with understanding, encouragement and the help they need.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
