Day 2 — Healing Through the Mercy of God

Scripture

Jeremiah 17:14 (KJV)
“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”

Reflection

God invites us to bring our sickness, weakness and suffering before Him. His mercy reaches us in moments when we feel helpless, exhausted or afraid.

Healing can involve the body, mind, emotions and relationships. Sometimes recovery comes quickly; at other times it requires patience, medical treatment, support and perseverance in prayer.

Our faith does not depend on receiving an immediate miracle. Even while we wait, God remains worthy of our trust. He can grant strength to endure, wisdom to seek help and hope for each new day.

Today, place your health and the health of your loved ones in God's hands. Pray for everyone suffering in hospitals, homes and places where adequate medical care is difficult to obtain.

Prayer

Merciful Father, You are the source of life and the giver of every good gift. I bring before You every sickness, pain, weakness and suffering in my life and family.

Lord, grant healing according to Your loving will. Guide doctors, nurses, caregivers and everyone working to restore health.

Comfort those who are afraid, strengthen those undergoing treatment and give patience to those waiting for recovery.

May Your peace fill our hearts, and may we never lose hope in Your goodness.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
